Apple Cider Punch - Ginja B

Apple Cider Punch

Making a punch for a party or an occasion weither it is alcoholic or non alcoholic, can be quite a treat! this "apple cider punch" is absolutely delish. Apples always remind my of my grandparents apple shed on Milton Farm NZ, you never forget the smell, memories keep rolling in.

Apple Cider Punch

  • 6 cups apple cider
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup rum - (or whiskey) *optional*
  • 1 litre ginger ale - (about 4 cups)

Apple Cider Punch Garnishes

  • 2 apples - sliced
  • 1 orange - sliced
  • 10 cinnamon sticks

Method

  • Place apple cider, orange juice and lemon juice in a large pitcher or punch bowl. Stir to combine. If making spiked apple cider punch, add your rum (or whiskey).
  • Toss in sliced apples, oranges and cinnamon sticks. Refrigerate to chill at least one hour.
  • When ready to serve, add ginger ale and pour over glasses filled with ice.

Can you make this Apple Cider Punch in advance?

You can! Everything except the ginger ale, however, because you want it to be nice and fizzy when ready to serve. If you add the ginger ale too far ahead of time, it will lose all the bubbles.

What I do is mix the apple cider, orange juice and lemon juice together in a large pitcher or drink dispenser, toss in my sliced apples, oranges and cinnamon sticks. Refrigerate up to a day in advance so it’s nice and cold! Then pour in the ginger ale when it’s party time!

You don’t have to make this punch far in advance, however, just be sure you either have enough ice to chill it quickly or refrigerate for at least an hour beforehand so it’s cold.

A note on ice! If your punch is cold enough, you don’t need ice. If not, I suggest pouring it over ice or using an ice ring in a large punch bowl.

Just 4 ingredients (for the non-alcoholic variety)

Enjoy x
